Server Administrator

As a Server Administrator at Elite EXTRA, a product of Epicor, you will be instrumental in maintaining and supporting our server infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for our industry-leading logistics solutions. You will collaborate with a dynamic IT/DevOps team to support our growth and expansion into new markets.

What you will be doing:

• Assist in troubleshooting server issues to maintain system uptime and performance.
• Manage virtualized servers, ensuring efficient resource utilization and scalability.
• Develop and implement Backup and Disaster Recovery plans to safeguard data integrity.
• Utilize scripting technologies to automate tasks, enhancing efficiency and repeatability.
• Administer system management tools, including patching and antivirus solutions, to maintain security and compliance.
• Manage user and computer access within Active Directory, employing various authentication technologies.
• Adhere to operational policies and procedures to ensure successful operations within a large enterprise environment.
• Clearly document design, maintenance, and support procedures for routine tasks to facilitate Tier 1 support.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation and perform off-hours maintenance as required.

What you will likely bring:

• 3+ years of applicable experience with demonstrated success in server administration.
• High school diploma; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and configuration management concepts.
• Experience with server orchestration and long-term technical planning.
• Ability to document system designs and procedures clearly and concisely.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and meet deadlines.

• Experience with version control systems, ideally Git.
• Familiarity with Elite EXTRA's logistics solutions and understanding of SOC 2 compliance standards.
• Ability to identify and research needed information proactively.
