Engineering Intern (Corrosion Control)

Description
Effectively works and interacts with regional and field operations. Provides support to engineering staff as needed. Applies basic engineering techniques for entry-level assignments in the design, construction and maintenance of Natural Gas Distribution System with review and guidance from a higher-level engineer. Preferred candidate is willing to commit to six-month internship May thru November. Shorter time commitments may be considered. Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day to day work routine for self and others.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Must have completed sophomore level of Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or equivalent engineering curriculum at an accredited Institution.
  • Must be currently enrolled in engineering course of study.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS


  • Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
  • Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
  • Must have valid Driver's License.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Ability to apply engineering principles to the development and design of a natural gas system.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, correspond and interact with senior staff/management and field personnel.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to provide effective and timely information.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications.



Hourly Wage: $24-$28 per hour
