Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Loan Support Specialist I is responsible for providing essential loan support functions to both our members and the entire Credit Union for all consumer, mortgage and commercial loan types.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

General Responsibilities



  • Servicing all the loan portfolio via Verve's Loan servicing system, servicing functions include but are not limited to: Post-closing review, payment processing, account maintenance, data entry and report processing.
  • Communication with members and team members to answer questions regarding loan functions.
  • Quoting all payoffs/paydowns on all mortgage loans
  • Help in applying investor and participation payments according to loan type, along with any disbursements
  • Performing payment corrections or adjustments as needed
  • Work closely with member and insurance companies on any insurance claims
  • Working with member and team on advancements on Commercial Line of Credit
  • Monitor all requests to update loan information, the requests include but are not limited to: statement type, due date changes, late fee reversal, or rate changes and update accordingly
  • Works closely with title companies to ensure timely response for Final Title Policies.
  • Assist team in uploading Credit Presentations and update loan accordingly in core system
  • Complete all requests for partial release/modification/subordinations
  • Assist with scanning final documentation of any loan type into the proper imaging systems
  • Complies with all aspects of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations as it relates to this position.
  • Maintain a professional image of the credit union in dealing with members: provide friendly, helpful assistance and maintain member confidentiality.
  • Must be able to perform all duties in compliance with State/Federal regulations and Verve policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Six (6) months to one (1) year related experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT



  • Work Environment: Business office, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand at a desk the majority of the workday; talk or hear; stand or walk occasionally. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is typically utilizing a computer, keyboard and phone. May occasionally reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and move up to 30 pounds.
