What You Will Do:

As a Corporate Tax manager, you will play an essential role within our Accounting department, reporting to the Vice President of Finance. The Corporate Tax Manager oversees numerous federal, state, and local tax matters, and property tax. This position also manages audits and inquiries and coordinating with Accounting and Operations personnel. The Corporate Tax Manager provides leadership on tax matters while developing processes to achieve reporting efficiencies. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:



  • Manage preparation and review of U.S tax provisions and analysis under U.S.. GAAP for financial reporting, including notes to financial statements
  • Work closely with external tax advisors to prepare all U.S. state and federal corporate and partnership tax returns as well as other tax reporting requirements such as Forms 1099 and 1042
  • Monitor and analyze changes in tax legislation and advise management of potential impact on the company
  • Manage the tax depreciation software and tax fixed asset reporting
  • Administration of tax sharing agreements
  • Maintenance of ACB, E&P and Surplus calculations
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Liaise with external auditors
  • Respond to inquiries from tax authorities
  • Assist in preparing transfer pricing policies and documentation
  • Provide support, advice, guidance and assistance to business units regarding indirect taxes (franchise, gross receipts, sales, use, transfer, property, payroll, production, excise, severance taxes, etc.)
  • Recommend enhancements to the various tax functions to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Perform adhoc tax related duties as assigned


What You Will Bring:

Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Five years of progressively responsible related work experience.
  • CPA designation or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Safe Driving Policy.
  • Ability to pass a background, past employment, credit, drug, and driving record screening.


Preferred skills and qualifications:



  • Knowledge of taxation concepts and structures (income, property, sales/use, and excise taxes).
  • Knowledge of GAAP and cash and accrual concepts for different tax reporting.
  • Ability to develop and understand factual background, and then research tax laws and regulations.
  • Ability to process a high volume of data with accuracy and meet various deadlines.
  • Skills in computerized accounting systems and Excel.
  • Proven ability to calculate and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Ability to use good judgment and discretion, making decisions based on available information.
  • Proven ability to professionally and effectively communicate with co-workers, business partners, and tax authorities in writing and verbally.
