Buyer Medaxis LLC in McHenry, IL This position requires an on-site presence in McHenry, IL 4 days per week and is a temporary assignment, predicted to last 4-6 months. We are not accepting candidates from recruiting firms/agencies Medaxis delivers superior patient outcomes through innovative wound therapy solutions with the Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) line of products and services from Medela and integrates breakthrough technology to optimize the wound bed for healing. https://medaxis.us Medaxis is seeking a Buyer (Temporary Assignment) who has the following experience: Order Management: Place and manage orders for direct materials, including release orders and blanket orders based on existing contracts. Proactive Problem-Solving: Quickly identify and communicate any stock-out situations to prevent delays. Vendor & Contract Management: Handle quantity contracts, supplier schedules, and blankets to ensure vendors use the information correctly and efficiently. Data Accuracy: Archive transaction records and maintain them according to SOPs and Work Instructions (WI). Collaborate with Finance: Perform 3-way matches of inventory transactions and work closely with the finance team for reconciliations. Smooth Coordination: Ensure consistent order reconciliation between our company and 3PL partners. Adherence to SOPs: Follow and uphold Purchasing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain compliance and quality. Temporary Assignment: You are open to a temporary assignment Education/Experience Requirements - Buyer (Temporary Assignment) Minimum three years' experience with a focus on supply chain required. Experience in a medical manufacturing environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and data extraction software is preferred Experience with NetSuite is preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience working in an environment with global objectives Must be able to read, understand and communicate in English Position Responsibilities - Buyer (Temporary Assignment) Place individual orders for all kinds of direct material as well as call-off/release orders based on existing blanket orders/quantity contracts Order Management & Maintenance Proactive communication of stock out situations Quantity Contracts/Supplier Schedules/Blankets: Planning, issuance and order management. Ensure vendors are utilizing the information appropriately Archive and maintain transaction records per SOP & WI Perform 3-way match of inventory transactions working with finance Perform reconciliation of orders between Medaxis and 3PL partners Perform all other duties as assigned or as may be required from time to time Responsible for adhering to Purchasing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
