JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Global is an opportunity for those seeking an international education career. Pre-Arrival Advising, a unit of International Student and Scholar Advising, seeks a staff assistant for office duties, record management and assistance with communications. The successful candidate will demonstrate: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based application; mandatory adherence to confidentiality of student documents; Ability to convey clear information to diverse and international populations; Knowledge of immigration regulations preferred; Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment required. This staff assistant will communicate with international students and various departments and campuses. The position duties include support to three staff members, management of incoming email communications, data entry, attendance at office meetings, and other duties as assigned. This position will be filled for in-person duties at the Malcom Building of Innovation Park and the Boucke Building on the University Park Campus. This is a wage-payroll position requiring availability of 20 hours per week though August, with possible hours to continue in fall.
