Opportunity Summary:
Vaco is conducting a search on behalf of a highly established and internationally recognized mortgage servicing company for a Mortgage Servicing Sales Manager for Private Mortgage Servicing & Lending Operations, to spearhead the company's expansion into Miami, Florida.

This is a ground-floor opportunity in a greenfield market, meaning the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in building a private mortgage servicing operation from the ground up while leveraging the strength and reputation of an established international company.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in mortgage servicing sales, business development, and compliance, with a focus on private mortgage servicing solutions, including hard money, non-QM, bridge loans, and investor-driven financing solutions.

Candidates with private mortgage servicing or consistent, high-performing mortgage sales experience are encouraged to apply, even if they do not have prior management experience but are looking to take their career to the next level.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, enjoys developing new client relationships, and has a proven track record in mortgage sales.

Candidates must hold an active NMLS mortgage license in Florida in good standing. The role will require an on-site presence (3 days per week) in Miami for the first few months, followed by 2 days in-office and meetings with clients as needed. This person will be responsible for building a team, making inter-office work culture a critical component of success.

Candidates must be based in Miami, Florida, or willing to relocate within a reasonable amount of time.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the firm's private mortgage servicing expansion into Miami, establishing and scaling a new market while leveraging the company's international reputation.
  • Develop relationships with private mortgage lenders, hard money lenders, non-QM lenders, and real estate investment firms to grow the firm's servicing portfolio.
  • Drive business development efforts, educating clients on private mortgage servicing solutions, including loan boarding, payment processing, escrow management, collections, and default servicing.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing laws, CFPB, RESPA, FDCPA, and other private mortgage servicing regulations.
  • Monitor loan performance, delinquency rates, and collections strategies to optimize portfolio performance.
  • Work closely with distressed loan investors and NPL (non-performing loan) buyers to manage loss mitigation, foreclosure workouts, and asset recovery solutions.
  • Hire, train, and mentor a team of servicing specialists, default managers, and investor relations personnel as the company expands in the Miami market.
  • Oversee technology integration for loan servicing platforms (e.g., Black Knight, MSP, Sagent, or proprietary servicing systems).
  • Act as the primary liaison for private mortgage investors, ensuring strong reporting, compliance, and portfolio performance.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • 5+ years of recent, consistent, high-performing experience in a mortgage sales position.
  • Active NMLS mortgage license in Florida in good standing (REQUIRED).
  • Experience in private mortgage servicing sales, particularly in hard money, non-QM, bridge loans, or investor-driven loan servicing (preferred but not required).
  • Proven experience and aptitude in launching and scaling mortgage operations in a greenfield market.
  • Understanding of loan servicing operations, including escrow servicing, collections, and default management.
  • Experience working with private lenders, real estate investment firms, or non-traditional mortgage originators.
  • Understanding of foreclosure processes, REO asset management, and investor reporting.
  • Proficiency in servicing software (Black Knight, MSP, Sagent, or similar).
  • Exceptional leadership and business development skills, with the ability to grow the firm's servicing portfolio.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Highly self-motivated and independent work ethic is a must.
Location & Work Environment:
  • Must be based in Miami, Florida, or willing to relocate within a reasonable amount of time.
  • Hybrid schedule with a mix of office-based work, business development efforts, and operational oversight (Hybrid in Miami Office). This role is responsible for building a team!
Compensation:
  • Base Salary: $100,000 - $115,000
  • Commission Potential: Up to 50% of Base Salary per year, with total earnings up to $200,000+
  • Performance-Based Upside: Discretionary bonus incentives tied to the firm's servicing portfolio growth
