Client: Nationally Known Food Manufacturer/Distributer
Role: Learning and Development Training Manager
Salary: $120,000-$130,000 with a bonus
Location: Swedesboro, NJ - *5-days a week in office*

**They are looking for someone that has extensive experience in developing curriculum and content for adult learners
**This candidate needs experience within manufacturing plants preferably within the CPG industry


Responsibilities:
  • Designs and implements comprehensive training strategies aligned with the the company'soperational goals and compliance requirements, with a focus on all areas of facility operations, including production, maintenance, sanitation, and safety.
  • Leads a team of Training Supervisors and Coordinators to identify training gaps through observations, data analysis, and collaboration with plant department leaders.
  • Collaborates with department heads and Training Supervisors to design and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), One Point Lessons (OPLs), training documents, job aids, and other instructional materials to standardize and improve operations.
  • Manages the company's training platform, Alchemy, by regularly reviewing and updating learning content, plans, and user profiles to align with organizational goals and industry standards.
  • Coordinates with the Corporate COE to align training plans with Swedesboro's safety programs, ensuring timely completion of mandatory training by all learners.
  • Implements metrics and KPIs to evaluate training effectiveness and make data-driven insights for continuously improve training outcomes.
  • Conducts regular audits of training programs and materials to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards, partnering with the Learning & Development Manager, Solutions to create enhanced training solutions.
  • Supports the training needs of a 24/7 manufacturing facility by developing flexible, shift-aligned training schedules and resources that ensure consistent skill development, compliance, and operational efficiency across all shifts
  • Leads the transfer of technology and training initiatives for current and upcoming projects, ensuring seamless integration into bakery operations.
  • Mentors and develops the training team to enhance their instructional capabilities and deliver high-quality, impactful training programs.
  • Keeps up-to-date with industry trends and emerging practices in training design, delivery, and needs analysis to bring innovative approaches to the facility
  • Builds the capabilities of thetrainer to execute training programs effectively, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Partners with HR to design and deliver comprehensive employee orientation and onboarding programs that integrate organizational values, safety protocols, and job-specific training, ensuring new hires are equipped to contribute effectively from day one.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in training and development, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment
  • Must have people management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish preferred.
  • Proven experience in developing training strategies in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing training programs, frameworks, and SOPs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of managing key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using training software and tools for program development and delivery.
  • Experience with Alchemy a plus
