Process Engineering Co-Op

Join our Oak Creek, WI team as a Process Engineering Co-Op! Our co-ops are hands on, highly technical, and designed to let you see what it's like to work at Astronautics. This is a paid undergraduate co-op opportunity. As an engineering co-op, you will work closely with our engineering staff on actual customer projects. Mentors are assigned to assist co-ops in achieving engineering related career development that is of mutual benefit to you and Astronautics.

Co-op opportunities are available for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026. This is a first shift, full-time position (M-F). You must be able to commit to three co-op terms, which may be completed intermittently.

Position Responsibilities

  • Work with process engineers on projects within the production environment.
  • Create and update work instructions using MS Word and SolidWorks.
  • Design tooling for ease of manufacturing our products.

Desired Skills

  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Capability of working independently with limited oversight from senior engineers

Education and Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • Current accredited college or university enrollment with sophomore, junior or senior standing; making progress towards an undergraduate degree in Aerospace, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics
  • Cumulative grade point average of 2.75
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SolidWorks
  • Able to work full-time onsite
  • Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

Desired Qualifications

  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above
  • Experience in electronics assembly or a manufacturing environment
