The Estimator II will generate accurate and timely estimates for reconditioning services offered to all wholesale and retail clients on consigned vehicles. The estimator examines damaged vehicles, identify/document recommended work for client approval, and uses Manheim estimating tools.

What You'll Do

You'll be on top of the nitty-gritty details and timelines while our vehicle techs take care of repairs. Here's more of what you'll be up to:

  • Clearly and accurately create vehicle repair estimates based on damages, paint, color match, and blending procedures.
  • Able to utilize estimating tool to provide accurate estimates.
  • Quality control checks for repair completion per SOP and client guidelines.
  • Document damages in estimating tool to provide visibility to the client.
  • Taking photos to support estimate items for quicker processing.
  • Adheres to all company safety standards and reports any unsafe conditions through appropriate channels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Who You Are

You know how to get things done and your work ethic speaks for itself - plus, your eye for detail is unmatched. Here's what else you'll bring to the table:

Minimum:

  • A high school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field (service, estimates, insurance adjuster and/or appraiser experience); or any degree/certification beyond high school and 1 year of experience; or 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Internals a minimum of a level III condition writer experience.
  • Understands vehicle repair estimates based on damages, paint, color match, and blending procedures.
  • Understands vehicle materials including, but not limited to magnesium, aluminum, UHSS, HSS.
  • Competent knowledge in estimating software Mitchell and/or Xtime including associated procedure pages.
  • Competent in examination of damaged vehicles to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical and/or interior damage.
  • Understands repairability of panels including PDR, body repairs, body lines, panels that require rivets and adhesive bonding and in determining feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts.
  • Understanding of vehicles and parts that require recalibrations and functionality resets.
  • Knowledge of all R&I items for repairs, refinish procedures including adjacent panels and glass.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and team members.
  • Ability to understand and apply instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
  • The ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Work Enviornment:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, independently with Regular exposure to weather conditions, fumes, and noise.


MCCOX

USD 19.38 - 29.09 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly base pay rate is $19.38 - $29.09/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
