Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Sr Brand Manager to join our Marketing team. This role will be responsible for brand growth and elevating brand equity by creating and executing multi-year marketing plans and driving projects and innovation to deliver on revenue and profit targets for the largest brand in the portfolio, Utz Brand. The Senior Brand Manager is specifically responsible for the following sub-categories: Pretzels, Cheese Snacks, and Snack Mixes. Additionally, the senior brand manager leads sponsorships and strategic partnerships for the entire brand. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in brand management within the consumer-packaged goods industry, food experience strongly preferred. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to prioritize multiple projects are essential. Candidates must also possess excellent analytical skills. Sr Brand Manager, Utz Brands:
- Thoroughly analyzes business and consumer trends identify key insights, and builds foundational growth strategies for the Utz pretzel, cheese and snack mix portfolio.
- Shapes, prioritizes, and communicates the vision and mission of the brand and translates initiatives into effective go-to-market plans.
- Partner with the Consumer Insights team to conduct market research for competitive pricing, distribution gaps, sizes, and new products and leads efforts to capitalize on such opportunities for increased sales and profits.
- Develops integrated brand plans that include key growth initiatives such as brand advertising, consumer promotion, PR, packaging design, and innovation.
- Responsible for brand P&L and leads activities to deliver revenue and profit.
- Performs SKU rationalization to maximize productivity-implementing optimal assortment to maximize sales and margin.
- Develops new products, packaging, and promotions to expand position in the marketplace.
- Coaches, manages, and develops Associate Brand Manager to be an integral part of the marketing team and effectively contribute to the growth of the brand portfolio.
- Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field, MBA a plus
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CPG brand and/or customer marketing roles
- Superior analytical thinking with the ability to identify key insights and build growth strategies
- Ability to function on a project basis while maintaining strategic vision.
- Must possess excellent leadership and relationship-building skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Access.
- Experience with P&L and knowledge of financial systems and general reporting/administration concepts.
- Proven ability to work across multiple departments to complete projects or resolve organizational challenges.
- Possess excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a basic knowledge of general business topics.
- Proven ability to partner with various business disciplines and develop strong, manageable relationships with internal customers and external vendors.
- Motivated self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Requires superior organizational skills.
- Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Circana or Nielsen data analysis
