RESPONSIBLE CHARGE ENGINEER Alpha Corporation established in 1979, is a full-service woman-owned firm, providing civil, structural engineering, program and construction management, project controls, and technology services for various building types, transportation, and heavy infrastructure projects. Position Summary Responsible Charge Engineer (PE License in Va and Intermediate Work Zone Cert required) and Design-Build experience and DBIA preferred. This is a full-time 18-month term with a service continuation task. This work will be in the Charlottesville area for the duration. QUALIFICATIONS: 5 to 15 years of transportation construction experience preferred with experience in transportation design considered. Responsibilities: MAIN DUTIES: Project assignments including on-site construction representation of client, preparation of project documentation, cost estimating, scheduling, plan review, research of records. May perform a review of project records, schedules, and as-built construction to evaluate change orders and requests for extension of time. Independently apply techniques and analyze for problems and methods. Ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables with periodic fluctuations in workload.
