Job Description

Torch Technologies has an exciting opportunity for aSenior Test Engineerprovidingsupport to the C3C/Kessel Run (KR) Division.This is a fulltime position based out of Hanscom Air Force Base, MA.

Responsibilities

This position requires a highly motivated individual with test engineer experience to include but not limited to the duties below:



  • Documenting the review, test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting, data reduction and analysis, and end- user operational testing
  • Using design of experiments methods to plan and conduct test programs
  • Independently prepare (or advise others in the preparation of) criteria, computation/analyses, specifications, cost estimates test plans, and technical reports in the specific area of technical expertise
  • Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problem, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope and complexity
  • Review and evaluate the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy of results and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of test engineering tasks
  • Devise new and innovative approaches to problems encountered, and accomplish assigned tasks with efficiency, timeliness, and thoroughness
  • Evaluate the configuration, capability, and operational relevance of test environments and ensure they are properly available for the thorough testing of software releases (e.g. fault insertion/fault identification)
  • Deconflict schedule conflicts between multiple releases, providing high quality analysis and recommendations to the program test lead
  • Operate with general instructions; but select portions of work are reviewed in detail to measure adequacy of approach, execution, and presentation
  • Provide T&E technical and engineering support by documenting the review, test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting, data reduction and analysis, and end-user operational testing

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance:Must have and be able to maintain a Secret level Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Clearance:Top Secret level clearance

Education:Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a professional engineering discipline

Years of experience:8 years of directly related experience with 5 years in a DoD setting

Test Manager's Course certification or course completion desired



  • Experience with Agile methods, including testing methods for CI/CD, DevSecOps and DevOps
  • Experience with DoD Test and Processes
  • Understanding of cloud architectures and impacts to testing methods


Travel:15% if local, more travel if candidate is not local to MA
