Ochsner Children's is seeking board certified/board eligible General Pediatrician to join our growing team in Covington, Louisiana. We offer comprehensive benefits and competitive salary, including a 2-year guarantee and opportunity for productivity bonus.

The North Shore Region includes a network of multispecialty Adult and Pediatric services with over 170 physicians and 100 advanced practice providers. Through our partnerships with St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, two hospital campuses of Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell and the Ochsner hospital Bay St. Louis, we provide Pediatric care for the entire region with two Level III NICUs, a 4 bed PICU and two inpatient Pediatric acute care units. Neonatologists, Pediatric Hospitalists, and Intensivists cover the hospitals in Covington and Slidell. Pediatric subspecialty clinics are available both in Slidell and Covington. The Slidell practice is an outpatient clinic practice including a Saturday morning clinic with 1 in 8 rotations as well as afterhours and weekend call. The Bay St. Louis practice includes a weekday outpatient clinic and Level I well-baby nursery coverage with very limited acute care admissions. Weekend call is shared with local pediatricians and NNP.

As a suburb of New Orleans, the North Shore Region, offers a family-oriented community with the amenities of New Orleans just 30 minutes away. Known for its many festivals and community events, parks and recreational activities for both adults and children, St. Tammany Parish is highly ranked in the state for its outstanding, award-winning school system.

Our comprehensive Ochsner Children's program includes 88 primary care pediatricians in 27 locations in Louisiana and Mississippi - and pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists (Ochsner Children's) totaling over 270 physicians. The group is the region's leading integrated provider of multispecialty care for newborns, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. We offer a full range of pediatric complex specialty services including congenital heart surgery and cardiac transplantation, liver and bone marrow transplantation, a comprehensive surgical sub-specialty group, advanced GI and Hepatology, advanced spine surgery, Hematology-Oncology and AYA Oncology, Cleft Palate/Cranio-Facial Surgery and the region's only comprehensive multidisciplinary developmental pediatrics center.

Ochsner Children's currently cares for patients in a 67-bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 14-bed PICU, a 12-bed pediatric CV-ICU, a NAEC-accredited level IV 4 bed Pediatric EMU and a 44-bed pediatric acute unit, with a dedicated pediatric emergency room, supported by a 24-7 dedicated pediatric and neonatal transport team utilizing rotary and fixed wing as well as ground transport. And we recently began construction on the building of a new, comprehensive, dedicated 5-story Children's Hospital on our main campus in New Orleans, with expected opening at the start of 2028.

In addition to direct patient care, Ochsner Children's Hospital has an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program and is also responsible for teaching pediatric residents from the Tulane-Ochsner Pediatric Residency program as well as medical students from both Tulane and the University of Queensland, Australia. Ochsner Health and Xavier University of Louisiana recently announced an agreement to establish a joint allopathic College of Medicine, the Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine which is in the LCME accreditation process currently. Our faculty publishes hundreds of research papers annually and Ochsner participate in numerous multi-center studies and trials.
