Position Summary
Trident Systems seeks an enthusiastic and highly capable Senior Director of Finance that is responsible for direct supervision of all accounting and finance functions, driving transformational change in processes, improving reporting cycle time, while also enhancing key performance indicators that drive insight into the business. The Senior Director of Finance is a strategic Business Partner to the Leadership Team, providing guidance and recommendations on key investments that align with Trident's objectives and vision, while also positioning the business to meet its financial commitments. Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand, forecast, communicate, and drive business financial performance.
- Effectively lead Finance & Accounting team, including Controller, Program Finance and Financial Planning & Analysis.
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasting, analysis, and reporting.
- Collaborate with direct and cross-functional leadership to develop and execute a finance transformation roadmap aligned with Trident's corporate objectives and vision.
- Lead the enhancement of key finance and accounting processes and implement financial systems and tools to enhance efficiency, scalability, flexibility, and visibility while meeting growing finance demands.
- Define and track key performance indicators to understand performance, evaluate the success of transformation efforts and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Lead the team in preparation and submission of all required DCAA items.
- Supports M&A diligence, financial models and other strategic initiatives as appropriate.
- Ability to support travel or off-site work, as needed, and up to 15% of the time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent years of experience/combined education)
- 15 + years of experience including 5 + years of solid experience in a senior leadership role managing Finance & Accounting departments in a project based and manufacturing environment
- Experience in a government contracting environment required
- Demonstrated ability to build / develop teams and drive performance improvements
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and programs, ensuring deliverables, budgets, and timeline adherence
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
- US citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Business Central, PowerBI or OneStream applications
- Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis role
