Job Summary This position is a vital member of a cohesive tax team with wide-ranging responsibilities in the areas of Tax Compliance, Tax Accounting, Tax Consulting and Tax Research. This team member supports the Tax Department by participating in assignments related to the above areas and special projects. Majority of time will be spent on tax compliance and provisions but independent research and consulting skills will be necessary for moderate to complex project work assignments. What You Will Be Doing:

- Compliance:
Contributes on all aspects of Federal income tax compliance, M-1 and M-3 adjustments, assimilating data and organizing tax records and workpapers
Prepares and executes federal and state electronic tax return filings
Prepares assigned state and local income and franchise tax returns including apportionment/allocation issues
Data gathering and analysis to support preparation of estimated tax payments
Participates and/or leads on other tax compliance projects as needed
Seeks and recommends improvements to better automate tax compliance processes through more efficient use of software
Accounting:
Contributes to the preparation and analysis of corporate income tax provisions and deferred tax calculations for GAAP and SAP financials
Prepares or assists in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax disclosures as required by GAAP and SAP
Coordinates gathering of data and analysis to support tax provision process
Assists with the preparation of forecasts for effective tax rates
Seeks and recommends improvements in the efficiency of the tax provision processes through the better use of software
Interacts with accounting firms on GAAP and Statutory tax provisions, footnotes and disclosures - Consulting and Research:
Provides timely, quality and innovative tax consulting services for the Organization on a variety of topics as assigned
Prepares technical research memorandum on a variety of issues as needed
Participates on cross-functional teams representing the Tax area on Finance or company-wide initiatives
Research moderate/complex issues and applies applicable tax law to the facts
Acts as an internal tax information source for the Enterprise along with the rest of the Tax Team
Supports federal and state audits by researching and developing responses to Information Document Requests
Stays current by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical material, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations
What You Must Have:
4+ years related work experience. Experience Details: 2+ years of Big 4 Accounting Firm tax experience may be substituted Related Bachelor's degree required Accounting

Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel Strong technical hands-on ASC 740 and FIN 48 knowledge Proficient technical knowledge of Federal & State tax laws and regulations Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form Preferred Education Master's degree Taxation Preferred Licenses and Certifications CPA - Certified Public Accountant CPA designation Additional Preferred Qualifications Five years public accounting firm tax experience or equivalent Industry experience
- Experience with Thompson Reuters ONESOURCE income tax Express RS or GO System
- Blue Cross Blue Shield or other Health Insurance Company tax experience
- Strong knowledge of the Affordable Care Act tax provisions
- SSAP 101 knowledge
- 1120 PC familiarity
- PeopleSoft familiarity
- Multi-state tax experience

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $69,400 - $86,800 Annualized Salary Range: $69,400 - $112,800
