QUALIFICATIONS:
Current and valid Professional Educator License Administrative licensure (General Administrative Endorsement) or working toward Administrative licensure preferred A minimum of three years of outstanding classroom teaching and/or related services experience (elementary experience, preferred) LBS 1 Endorsement and/or related services PEL (Preferred) Skill, knowledge, and ability to communicate with a broad constituency, including staff, parents, and community members Thorough knowledge of teaching, learning, communication, human relations, and guidance skills Strong verbal/written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills Ability to utilize technology as an integral resource and tool Ability to frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
REPORTS TO: Principal SUPERVISES: Support staff, as assigned PURPOSE OF JOB: This position is a crucial link between the principal and other school staff, and takes on any tasks delegated by the principal. Their responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day building administration to ensure the safety and well-being of students, staff, and volunteers. In the absence of the principal, this individual is fully responsible for the school program. The position also manages and coordinates discipline, MTSS, and all specialized services, including special education, counseling, and related services, to promote the educational and social-emotional development of every child. The District 504 Coordinator will advise the district about the development and implementation of 504 Plans, as well as about the implementation of policies, procedures, and practices. Additionally the District 504 coordinator will maintain and coordinate the district's 504 plan. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Serve as the designee in charge in the absence of the principal Assist in school improvement initiatives outlined in the school improvement plan Analyze data from local and state assessments to make programming recommendations Participate in programming decisions Evaluation/Supervision of specified classified staff Administer positive behavior supports and day-to-day school plan for discipline Facilitate and/or co-facilitate the school student services team and serve as the LEA representative for IEP meetings Facilitate and/or co-facilitate the MTSS processes for both academic and SEL interventions. Support the program of co-curricular activities and student clubs by coordinating and providing supervision of school events and parent meetings Coordinate school assessments, including but not limited to FastBridge, MAP, IAR, AAPPL, CogAT and ACCESS tests Contribute to the program of the school community relations in order to build a positive image of the school in the community Develop and follow up a building schedule that coordinates the daily routines of all school activities and functions, including KEEP Coordinate building usage and rentals Supervise the arrival and dismissal of students Manage and coordinate 504 plans for the district Developing a working knowledge of current laws, regulations, and guidelines related to Section 504 Facilitating the implementation of Section 504 policies and procedures Providing ongoing training and support to staff regarding Section 504 and the implementation of the Section 504 procedures Other duties as delegated by the principal
