Job Summary The IT Asset Management Specialist oversees the management of the IT Asset Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ensures the effective management of IT assets throughout their lifecycle. This role is responsible for developing and maturing processes related to asset tracking and reporting, End of Life (EOL) reporting, hardware roadmap planning, testing, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels. The IT Asset Management Specialist will also manage a team member responsible for shipping, receiving, request fulfillment, and inventory audits, to ensure timely delivery of IT assets to our colleagues. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and has a deep understanding of IT asset lifecycle management, from procurement to end of life processes, and the ability to effectively report on that lifecycle. Along with the key functions listed below, this position will be expected to uphold the value that Washington Federal places on simply being kind when working alongside colleagues and servicing our clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Develop and implement new asset management strategies and processes to ensure accurate asset tracking and timely updates to the CMDB.
