Purpose of Position:

Broad range of duties supporting Finance and Human Resource functions related to the planning, implementation, supervision, and optimization of assigned projects and tasks. Responsible for supporting executive engagement, such as travel, agenda management, meeting organizations, budgets, and payments. Involved in all other aspects of daily operations.

Principal Responsibilities:



  • Support the talent acquisition team and coordinate the pre-hiring, hiring and onboarding of employees into Messer and within Finance and the Human Resources departments
  • Support various projects related to organizational design development activities and other long term strategies
  • Assist in alignment and communication across multiple countries
  • Assist in maintaining a safety rich culture
  • Provides high-level administrative support and assistance to the EVP's and/or other assigned leadership staff.
  • Prioritize daily activities efficiently and in a reliable manner.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Provided follow up on given assignments.
  • Communicated effectively with co-workers, management, internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Manager travel booking and expense reports.
  • Manage program or meeting budgets and expense, payments.
  • Performs clerical and administrative tasks including drafting letters, memos, invoices, reports, and other documents for department as needed.
  • Arranges travel and accommodations for executives.
  • Schedules and attends meetings on behalf of executives, taking notes and recording minutes
  • Receives incoming communication or memos on behalf of senior staff, reviews contents, determines importance, and summarizes and/or distributes contents to appropriate staff.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by executives.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Meeting scheduling and coordination of department events., - Remind /advise users of upcoming meetings, Organize and set up web conferences:
  • Create presentations with little direction if requested
  • Complete Concur Expense Reporting for assigned management,
  • Maintain organization charts
  • Manage purchasing card account for departmental expenses as assigned
  • Invoice payment processing through Banctec accounts payable system.
  • New Hire onboard processing supporting management in workstation setup, IS requirements for accesses and company orientation and training.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Based in BW and required in-office at least 3 days per week.



Required Skillsets



  • Skilled in preparing spreadsheets and presentations (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, Visio)
  • Strong communications skills (written, oral and verbal)
  • Analytical and Critical Thinking
  • Problem Solving abilities.



Basic Qualifications



  • Associate's Degree
  • Bachelor's degree a plus
  • Minimum of 7 years administrative support or business experience
