The Student Research Assistant (RA) will assist with the planning and administration of the summer course Introduction to Clinical Epidemiology (EPI 208), which is part of the Summer Program in Clinical Effectiveness. This will include building and maintaining the course website, corresponding with students and faculty, creating surveys for students, making schedules, booking rooms on-campus and organizing breakout rooms in Zoom, and various other administrative tasks. In addition, the Student RA may be involved in research tasks such as conducting literature searches and helping to prepare manuscripts for publication. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills to work in an academic medical center environment. In addition, the Student RA must be comfortable with technology such as Zoom, Microsoft Excel, etc. The position would be from late May or beginning of June through middle of August.

These items should be evaluated throughout the year and included in the written annual evaluation. Responsible for corresponding with students and faculty. Responsible for creating surveys for students. Responsible for making course schedules, booking rooms, and organizing breakout rooms in Zoom. Responsible for various other course-related administrative tasks. Literature searches: performs general topic searches. Retrieves journal articles from the Internet or library. May help with the preparation of presentation materials including overheads, slides, and PowerPoint tables and graphs. Photocopying, electronic mailing, receiving and sending mail, faxing and other administrative duties as required.
