The Analytic Tradecraft Analyst evaluates a selection of finished intelligence products to ensure compliance with Intelligence Community (IC) Analytic Tradecraft Standards and the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 203 series. This role involves developing metrics, presenting findings, and providing recommendations to enhance analytic rigor. The analyst also designs and implements self-assessment measures to minimize subjective variations in data collection. Additionally, they identify key strengths, weaknesses, trends, gaps, and other notable aspects of analytic tradecraft within evaluated intelligence products. The analyst supports the Government in refining evaluation methodologies and strengthening the integrity of the product review process.

Responsibilities

    Apply in-depth knowledge of analytic tradecraft to assess intelligence products against IC standards.
  • Develop metrics to evaluate tradecraft compliance and present findings with actionable recommendations.
  • Implement self-assessment measures to ensure consistency in data collection and evaluation.
  • Identify and analyze trends, strengths, and gaps in intelligence production.
  • Assist in enhancing evaluation methodologies to improve the rigor and integrity of product assessments.
  • Work independently with minimal oversight while effectively collaborating across the IC.
  • Facilitate information sharing, drive collection efforts, and support dispute resolution in analytic discussions.
  • Produce concise, insightful, and comprehensive intelligence products for defense intelligence.
  • Guide teams in researching complex, high-priority intelligence challenges.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with at least a portion of that experience within the last two years.
  • Hols an Active TS/SCI
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
