The Credit and Collections Analyst is responsible for analyzing and evaluating customer financial conditions and authorize customer credit lines. This role is responsible for minimizing bad debt risk and maximizing accounts receivable collections. This position ensures established policies, procedures, and legal requirements are followed and ensures services are delivered professionally and efficiently. The Credit and Collections Analyst works collaboratively with cross- functional partners to ensure a positive customer experience

Credit Assessment - 50%

  • Partners with Sales to communicate risk and address concerns

  • Utilizes the risk algorithm to evaluate new and existing customers

  • Uses experience and knowledge of collection procedures and account documentation to review client files to

  • establish validity of bankruptcy proceedings; verifies existence of assets or evidence of fraud

  • Evaluates client's credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk

  • Analyzes client records and uses the data to recommend payment plans

  • Monitors credit risk of both new and established accounts

  • Aids with complex and sensitive collections activities

  • Assists operation team management in determining credit worthiness of potential clients

  • Applies basic accounting principles in the interpretation of customer financial statements and reporting

  • Develops contact with D&B; uses shared information to effectively minimize company losses

Reporting - 30%

  • Provides reporting to communicates with the team-based work groups that make up the collections department

  • Keeps accurate and up-to-date activity reports on late, potentially late, and delinquent accounts

  • Conducts reporting on high-risk accounts and aged invoicing

  • Develops and generates analytical reports for the operating teams and is a subject matter expert (SME) for credit related reporting

Invoicing -20%

  • Selects batches to invoice clients via email exchange server or via mail

  • Scrubs invoice batches to ensure all processed timesheets have been invoiced

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS (IF APPLICABLE)

  • Participates in major department projects and takes an active role in cross-functional teams to assist in driving quality improvements, processes, and initiatives

  • May work on special projects or other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY/BUDGETARY/EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITY

  • Communicates with external vendors and service providers.

QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 2+ years of credit experience required

  • 1 + year(s) of data analytics required

  • Previous accounting-related experience preferred

  • Typical office environment - sedentary with typing, writing, reading requirements

  • May be able to sit or stand

  • Ability to exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally

  • Ability to interpret various instructions

  • Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization
