What you'll be doing...

Exciting opportunities exist within the Verizon Public Sector Connected Experiences Solutions Architect organization. As a Presales Principal Solutions Architect, you will be an integral part of a talented team collaborating with our internal and external clients' on their Digital, Workplace Collaboration Transformation. You play a meaningful role in building long-term relationships across designated Public Sector accounts. This is a high-impact role working closely with the Sales team and customers to identify and qualify opportunities and design solutions to address customer business challenges.

You will seek to build deep, consultative technical relationships with your customers, effectively becoming a trusted adviser. A Connected Experiences Solutions Architect is ideally positioned to understand the customer's high-level objectives, matching them to Verizon solutions in order to satisfy business and technical requirements.

  • Being an integral part of a team to identify and qualify business opportunities and develop the strategy to resolve technical matters.

  • Recommending Public Sector compliant Unified Communications and Collaboration strategies, architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to successfully implement an effective and efficient solution, using industry best practices.

  • Owning the technical relationship with Verizon customers, including managing product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of additional technical resources.

  • Working directly with customers to create solutions and use cases that leverage Verizon product integrations that generate business value.

  • Articulating the Verizon vision on technologies and solutions towards the Client; positions Verizon as a thought leader on key technological developments.

  • Leading prioritization of Customer solution / technical requirements and champions resolution of solution / product gaps internally (also towards Product Groups).

  • Developing individual skill set and expanding product knowledge to maximize value and to deliver quality services to our clients.

  • Coaching and mentoring peer Public Sector Connected Experiences Solutions Architects and sales teams around the products, technologies, and services

  • Traveling to Client sites, conferences, and other related events as required.

What we're looking for...

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline and/or directly related equivalent experience; MS or MBA degree preferred

  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience in architecting, designing and or implementing a variety of Unified Communications and Collaboration technologies; The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of:

    • Microsoft Teams and Direct Routing

    • Cisco Unified Communications

    • Carrier based SIP services and SIP technologies in general

    • IP Video conferencing solutions including Webex, Zoom, etc

  • Four or more years of experience in the telecommunications industry doing pre-sales, customer-facing presentations, consulting, and/or other relevant telecommunications experience; demonstrated experience presenting to C-suite leadership.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver effective customer presentations and customer-facing material

  • Willingness to travel.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances. If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $129,000.00 and $239,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
