Pay Range: $ 76,000- $109,000 What You'll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities): The Strategic Network & Capacity Planner role is pivotal to the long-term success of Tempur Sealy International (TSI) in ensuring medium to long term internal capacity availability across its manufacturing and distribution network. The SSP will establish and help execute strategies to best manage product flows in accordance with TSI Go-to-market strategy. This involves connecting Demand & Supply variability with our internal capabilities, in order to meet service and growth targets while minimizing risk and costs. The Strategic Supply Planner is holistically and synergistically driving, medium and long term, supply optimization (service/agility and cost/working capital) across the three following areas: Network Planning:
- Builds process governance to best support network design. Leads a cross functional team to best manage and communicate across the organization the mid-to-long term roadmap for TSI internal network.
- Constantly reviews and incorporates performance & business needs (incl. new products transition) into strategy.
- Makes holistic (incl. sensitivity analysis) & data driven recommendations (quantification of service, risks mitigation and financial benefits) to improve network. Considers replenishment, stocking and production locations policies.
- Coordinates and drives successful and timely execution of network improvement initiatives.
Capacity Planning:
- Owns Finished Goods capacity planning (production and procurement) medium and long term.
- Monitors and tracks capacity utilization against plan and proposes improvements to reduce variability of performance.
- Drives and coordinates initiatives to improve manufacturing capacity and agility (incl. overtime and staffing recommendations).
Inventory Management:
- Defines primary (Finished Goods in DCs) and secondary (Raw Materials in plants) safety stock settings across the network based on most relevant input (Forecast Accuracy, Lead times, Service Levels etc.).
- Drives alignment towards DOS (Days of Supply) strategy (product/customer segmentation) and adjust based on Product Life Cycle maturity (incl. management of obsolescence,).
- Constantly reviews and incorporates business performance (incl. inventory availability %, dips in safety stocks etc.) into strategy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel Required - 10% - 15% What you'll need:
- 10+ years Supply Chain experience in a similar role or 5+ years with MBA, Master in Supply Chain Management or equivalent; Supply Chain certifications preferred.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical and technical skills with regards to data management.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, especially in building relationships and defining cross functional processes across a large organization (Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Brand, Finance etc.).
- High ethics and influential abilities to navigate successfully ambiguous, complex and critical situations.
- Excellent verbal/written communication, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects/ timelines and to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking, problem solving and rapid decision-making skills.
