Job Description

Position Summary The Associate Underwriting Consultant works closely with the Director of Underwriting and Senior Underwriting Consultant to translate business rating requirements into rate actions for a Trust covering 100,000 lives. They establish proposal rates for various insurance lines and assist in determining and implementing appropriate group insurance rate actions. They also conduct data analysis, calculate new business and renewal rates, and communicate these proposals to internal staff. Additionally, they identify potential improvements to rating processes and ensure compliance with confidentiality and security policies. Purpose of Position To help ensure the Group Benefits Trust remains financially viable by ensuring enough premiums are generated and collected to offset our member's claims and out Trust's operational expenses.
