Position Purpose:

Assists executive management in the achievement of key account persistency goals through client management, performance consultation, and client advocacy. Customarily and regularly engaged in outside sales.

Logistics: Planned Administrators Inc. (PAI)

Location: This is a full-time position working hybrid (40-hours/week) in a typical office environment. You will work an 8-hour shift scheduled during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need to work occasional overtime. You may be required to travel between buildings. This role is located at: 17 Technology Circle Ste E2AG Columbia, SC 29203.

What You Will Do:

  • Maintains market share of assigned territory by selling/renewing assigned account.
  • Services/manages account by ensuring profitability goals are met. Monitors product effectiveness for growth and profitability.
  • Sells additional corporate products to assigned client/account. Provides quality service and enhances/maintains business relationship with client. Remains attentive to marketplace need and changes to provide timely and pertinent feedback.
  • Establishes and maintains a positive/public role in community and professional organizations.

To Qualify for This Position, You Will Need:

  • Degree Equivalency: 4 years job related work experience or Associate's and 2 years job related work experience
  • Work Experience: 3 years proven experience in sales and/or account management with medium to large accounts (500 or greater).
  • Skills and Abilities: Understanding of employee benefits laws & regulations.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions.
  • Good judgment skills required.
  • Effective customer service, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills.
  • Analytical or critical thinking skills. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
  • Software and Other Tools: Microsoft Office.

We Prefer That You Have the Following:

  • Bachelor's degree- Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Licenses and Certificates: CEBS or CLU designation.
  • Skills and Abilities: Comprehensive knowledge of products, procedures, systems, claims payment policy.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financing of Health, Life, and Disability product lines.
  • Understanding of benefit financing formulas and reports.
  • Full understanding of enrollment regulations and procedures.
  • Full understanding of ability to conduct efficient/effective account enrollments.
  • Basic Healthcare knowledge
  • Problem solving skills
  • Organized/Detail Oriented
