DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY
To design new products and improve existing products in accordance with Stealth's procedures and protocols RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES *Produce innovative electronic designs that improve existing products by aiding in manufacturability and improving quality while reducing field claims in accordance with Stealth procedures and protocols *Design and analyze electronic assemblies and control systems *Electronic system modeling, programming and prototyping *Design, develop, assemble and test prototype Printed Circuit Board (PCB) *Design and development of electronic circuits/circuit boards with knowledge of Association Connecting Electronics Industries (IPC) standards *Layout and development of system wiring *Support firmware designs *Develop, release and revise electronics drawings and schematics as needed *Direct and assist selection of electronic components for best application *Assist Stealth internal teams to qualify new suppliers and/or alternative components to ensure global production needs are met *Develop familiarity with regulatory requirements to make compliance recommendations *Ensure designs are safe, reliable and meet quality system compliance *Perform validation testing *Track performance and analyze the completion of critical goals *Construct and maintain project timelines and Design History Files (DHF's) *Meet and fulfill project timelines and budgets *Travel to domestic and international contract manufacturers as needed for product launches *Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management *Document and report project progress to stakeholders *Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment *Work effectively with all Stealth departments to exceed internal and external expectations *Stealth retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary REQUIRED SKILLS *Must be a self-starter, creative team player, friendly, professional, detail-oriented and honest Must have the ability to: *Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment *Use electrical tools (i.e. multi-meter, oscilloscope, soldering iron and crimp tools), hand tools and standard power tools *Read and comprehend moderately complex work instructions *Prepare and build prototypes *Travel domestically or internationally, as needed Must have: *Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement *Basic familiarity with Electromagnetic Compatibility/Electromagnetic Immunity (EMC/EMI) principles and techniques for immunity and suppression of electrical noise *Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel *Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills PREFERRED SKILLS *Working knowledge of software tools for circuit design and simulation (i.e. PSpice, OrCAD, PADS) *Basic familiarity with: *Microprocessors and software development of embedded code *Circuit/circuit board design and Association Connecting Electronics Industries (IPC) standards *Software Development experience *Push/pull/lift up to 40 lbs REQUIRED EXPERIENCE *2 years of experience with electrical/electronic system design *1 year of experience in an environment supporting design, manufacturing, technical service and technical processes PREFERRED EXPERIENCE *3 years of experience in designing electrical control systems design (firmware preferred) and electronic assemblies (including classroom lab hours) in the mobility or gaming industry *3 years of hands-on technical experience in an environment supporting design, manufacturing, technical service and technical processes (internship or on-the-Job Training (OJT)) *Current or previous successful employment experience with Stealth (directly, independently or through a third party) REQUIRED EDUCATION *Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology OR Associate's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Technology field OR High School Diploma or GED with at least 12 years of proven experience with electronic/electrical system design PREFERRED EDUCATION *Master's Degree in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS *Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future DETAILS This job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described, and may be amended at anytime at the sole discretion of Stealth Stealth Products, LLC. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
