Currently, Alliant Health Solutions, a "2024 Best Place to Work and Healthiest Employer", seeks a Deputy Contract Manager. This role is contingent upon award of contract. The Managed Care Plan Provider Network Adequacy Program Deputy Contract Manager will support the strategic direction and operational management of the Provider Network Adequacy Program. This role will involve overseeing audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and enhancing the quality of care provided to members.

In this role, the ideal candidate will:

  • Assist the Contract Manager in developing and implementing policies and procedures for the Provider Network Adequacy Program.
  • Supervise the Secret Shopper Manager and ensure effective operations and alignment with program goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to assess network adequacy and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular audits and evaluations of provider networks to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Analyze data related to network adequacy and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.
  • Facilitate training and support for staff involved in network adequacy assessments.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to inform program development and enhancements.
  • Act as a liaison between the Managed Care Plan and regulatory bodies, representing the organization's interests.
  • Serve as the backup point of contact for customer inquiries and issues, responding professionally and empathetically. Identify and resolve customer concerns, ensuring their satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
  • Support the development of strategic initiatives to improve provider network performance and member access to care.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
Other Job Functions:
  • Work in close collaboration with other team members to support the development of new projects and the continuous improvement of the overall work of the team.

  • Maintain security and confidentiality of all information in accordance with HIPAA laws and regulations and company policies.
  • Demonstrate compliance with company and departmental policies as evidenced by attendance, punctuality, and dress.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required for this role include:
  • Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) proficiency preferred
  • Skilled in using analytic reports and data as part of ongoing service delivery and operations management
  • Ability to travel by car or plane to Company locations, customer meetings or other locations as needed
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid regulations and managed care principle
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Education, experience and training required and preferred for the position are below: Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in managed care, healthcare quality assurance or a related area
Preferred:
  • Master's degree in a related field
