I. Major Responsibilities:

1. Provides project management and communications support for the Office of the COO in the execution of strategic projects and initiatives.
2. Integrates and coordinates diverse workstreams and ensures timely execution of strategic projects, convening stakeholders as needed.
3. Oversees all communications for the Office of the COO.
4. Drafts presentations and other materials for COO meetings, town hall meetings and entity board meetings.
5. Establishes standard process/procedures approaches and documentation to facilitate flow of information across the structure and the system.
6. Coordinates governance activities in partnership with the Office of the CEO, the Chief of Staff, General Counsel, and each Entity leader to ensure alignment of all board governance work.
7. Documents and facilitates follow-up actions related to meetings, events, activities, etc. when coordinating communication activities on behalf of, and for, the Office of the COO.
8. Partner with Entity leaders and the Chief of Staff to ensure COO attends appropriate internal and external meetings, receptions, conferences and gatherings.
9. Partners with COO and Chief of Staff to remove barriers that impact the successful execution of follow-up items and/or require cross-system or external collaboration support.

II. Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

Required:
1. Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. Display business and operational knowledge and judgment.
2. Strong relationship management skills, using discretion as needed and maintaining confidentiality.
3. Strong project management skills.
4. Experience in health care preferred.
5. Ability to conceptualize, develop and execute communication strategy, programs and tactics within a fluid environment, with skill in identifying opportunities, "connecting the dots" between multiple initiatives to maximize impact, setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
6. Track record of a creative, entrepreneurial, results-oriented leader with the ability to facilitate change and manage a portfolio of projects for the COO.
7. Must demonstrate the ability to operate from a strategic mindset, be able to work in a matrix organization and manage changeable priorities.

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.

Department-specific competencies, including age-specific competencies, and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.

III. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:

Work is considered sedentary. Position requires work indoors in a normal office environment.
