Thermal Validation Engineer

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking talented Thermal Validation Engineer to join our San Jose headquarter office. This position will be working closely with system program manager and related design teams to validate systems in thermals, and related parts of system; discover and validate hardware and software issues collaboratively. The ideal candidate must have solid hands-on experience in enterprise servers(GPU/Storage/Blade) / rack systems and its components with strong testing knowledge, able to work effectively in team environment.

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

* Perform system thermal, power & other server component validation testing

* Report if any hardware and software quality issues into bug tracking systems during validation

* Document, analyze test data and generate report

* Maintain and improve validation test plans and test instructions

* Contribute in system validation quality and improvement

* Support internal and external quality issues and drive to issue resolution

* Able to work on multiple projects in parallel if required for time to market

* Bachelor or Master degree in Physics / Mechanical / Thermal Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science

* Minimum of 1 years (3+ years would be a plus ) of working experience in system, server components design validation

* Basic knowledge of computer architecture

* Able support thermal design jobs

* Familiar with Linux, Windows, and networking application

* Strong sense of teamwork and a good team player, strong communication skills in both speaking and writing

* Knowledge and experience of server system thermal design is a plus

$86,000 - $122,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
