Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be part of a fast-paced, high energy, team supporting Strategic Systems Programs Re-Entry Branch on the SLCM-N program as the SLCM-N Project Lead. For this position, an in-depth understanding of DoD and NNSA acquisition and business practices is required to be successful. The SLCM-N Project Lead will work with executive-level management in Federal government agencies providing a range of classified and unclassified support services in response to existing and emerging mission needs. This position will require the candidate to represent the Re-Entry Branch at various meetings and have a comprehensive understanding of how to lead and manage a project from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The SLCM-N Project Lead is responsible for providing SP28 and NNSA support, proactively communicating with multiple stakeholders to organize technical meetings, lead projects and help organize the team to deliver high quality products to the customer.
  • Support interactions with SSP and NNSA government leaders to successfully build trusted relationships with a very broad set of organizations, Executive/Senior-level management, and staff.
  • Develop and implement project management methodologies and best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ability to direct and coordinate multiple activities of large groups of diverse technical experts to organize programmatic and technical meetings.
  • Contribute to project planning, risk identification and mitigation strategies, and managing timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, collect meeting minutes and track the points of contact, tasks, and action items to meet program deadlines.
  • Be data and process driven with the ability to identify areas of concern and able to provide recommendations for overall improvement.
  • Drive work products to closure.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor and 8-10 years of experience, MS with 6-8 years of experience, a PhD with 3-5 years of experience. Education can be substituted for military service and subject matter expert knowledge on nuclear programs.
  • Must have and maintain a current and active TS/SCI clearance.
  • The ability to work well within a team and the ability to collaborate on projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver technical meeting minutes or documentation.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.
  • A passion for learning, helping others, sharing team knowledge, and contributing value to the mission in any way possible.

Desired:

  • SSP or NNSA Experience.
  • Program Plan development experience.

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
