Position Summary

The Equity Trading Operations Specialist is responsible for providing trading and operational support for TCW's equities strategies. Main responsibilities of this position include cash management, order management and commissions management. This position will require a functional understanding of trading operations, experience working with a trade order management system, strong accounting and quantitative analysis skills, as well as ability to work effectively under pressure.

This role is based in TCW's Los Angeles office and currently requires 3 days of onsite work per week. The hybrid work model is subject to change based on evolving business needs. The start time for this position is 6am.



Essential Duties

Cash Management

Review daily cash reconciliations and assist with management of cash balances in the following areas:

    Daily flows
  • Forecasting
  • Mutual Funds

Order Management

  • Work directly with Portfolio Managers for order generation in the Order Management System (OMS)
  • Identify and resolve any trade/compliance related issues
  • Complete trade import for monthly derivative assignments/exercises

Commissions Management

  • Perform monthly reconciliation of all trades to ensure trades have correct data points for proper commission tracking
  • Ensure the delivery of CSA monthly reconciliation reports to all brokers for timely payments
  • Work with the application development teams for enhancements and bug fixes to systems and workflows
  • Perform any ad-hoc tasks or projects as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • Experience working in asset management/financial services industry
  • 5+ years of experience working in a trade support role or function
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with Order Management Systems, preferably Aladdin
  • Strong accounting, finance, and quantitative skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of equity securities/instruments including derivatives and currency
  • Strong interest in investment management and ability to learn quickly
