Reporting directly to the General Manager with a dotted line to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will function as a detail-oriented Accounting & Finance Professional, who will be responsible for daily accounting operations, detail analysis, projects, reporting and other financial matters.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform month-end close; monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
Perform analysis and support for annual operating budget.
Monitor daily cash activity and complete weekly cash forecasts.
Make collection calls and set up payment arrangements with customers.
Reconcile daily deposits.
Process credit applications.
Work with customers to reconcile billing discrepancies.
Match accounts payable bills and process check payments on a weekly basis.
Process accounts payable, code invoices, match batch and run A/P check runs each week.
Apply all cash received in accounting system.
Process month-end journal entries.
Compile various month-end analysis.
Prepare monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations.
Prepare various financial analysis.
Assist with maintaining accuracy of accounting system.
Assist with annual financial audit.
Process all necessary sales tax returns and manage exemption/resale certificates.
Ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Maintain knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards.
Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Work with management to continuously refining spend forecast and provide information to help make informed decision and recommendations.
Provide analysis on monthly cost variances.
Develop and maintain Bills of Material.
Perform regular cost analysis.
Complete monthly reports including sales, profitability, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
At least 5-7 years of experience working as a Full Cycle Accountant with Analytics
Experience working in a manufacturing company and cost accounting
Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
High degree of accuracy with numerical transactions and to meet critical deadlines
Strong attention to detail, superior organizational skills, strong communication skills
Ability to act independently and prioritize responsibilities and tasks
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements
Office environment. Some work may be conducted remotely via technology.
This position may require occasional work in the evenings or weekends.
Some occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds).
Ability to sit, stand or walk distances for up to 10 hours per day.
20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required.
Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (hair net and closed toe shoes).
