Summary We are currently hiring for a Communications Account Representative to join BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. In this position as a Communications Account Representative, you will lead work teams in defining, creating, and implementing strategic marketing communications plans. You will also manage all accounts and project to ensure a high level of client satisfaction.

Logistics

This position is full-time, hybrid (40 hours/week) Monday-Friday at our Percival Rd location. The work hours are between 8am and 5 pm.

What You Will Do:

  • Manages client relationships. Meets with clients, assesses their needs, and makes recommendations based on client needs. Update client on project status. Tracks and reports client activities. Maintains accurate client records.

  • Manages multiple projects within respective division. Works with one's own departments and clients to produce/generate communication plans. Ensures client deadlines are met within budgetary guidelines. Responsible for entering and maintaining records in the project management system.

  • Analyzes competitor activity and consumer trends. Informs clients of opportunities to enhance their marketing plans.

To Qualify for this Position, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a job-related filed.

  • 7 years of business, communications, and/or sales and marketing experience.

  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database software.

  • Knowledge of marketing communications strategies.

  • Knowledge of business to consumer and business-to-business marketing strategies.

  • Must have proven track record of client development and relationship building.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, make sound decisions.

  • Effective customer service, organizational, presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills.

  • Analytical or critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to persuade, negotiate, or influence others.

  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.

  • Bachelor's Degree - Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, or Communications

  • 3-5 years of project management experience.

  • Background in corporate communication/marketing.
