We are seeking a highly motivated Front-End Engineering Lead to play a crucial role in shaping and implementing our web development initiatives, as well as long-term front-end strategy and innovation. This position requires a versatile and strategic thinker who can lead a development squad, coordinate with stakeholders to define requirements, and ensure the delivery of high-quality product capabilities.

While the primary focus will be on core web development, this role may also have opportunities to support our AI-driven projects and enhance our subscription-based offerings. The Front-End Engineering Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create cohesive and innovative solutions that leverage cutting-edge technologies while maintaining a user-centric approach.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Front-End Engineering Lead if your background includes

  • Core technologies such as TypeScript (Advanced), React (Expert), Next.JS (Advanced), HTML5/CSS3 (Expert), RESTful APIs (Advanced), AWS (Intermediate to Advanced)
  • Experience with tools/practices such as Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, Docker containerization, Automated testing frameworks, Performance optimization tools, Security best practices
  • Experience in other areas such as GraphQL, Microfrontends architecture, Monorepo management, Behavioral analytics tools, SSR/SSG implementations

  • 10+ years of front-end development experience
  • Deep expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $134,680 - $250,120.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
