Safety Coach

Possess a CSST certification and 10-15 years of experience in safety leadership (Preferred). Experience in awareness training of high-risk work involving confined space, trenching and excavation, working at heights, and LTT.

Job Duties



  • Develop and maintain a positive safety leadership relationship with all contractor workers, supervision and management.
  • Assess work activities, identify hazards and at-risk behavior, and address the situation immediately in a respectful and professional manner with positive results.
  • Able to talk in front of mass contractor meetings and address the safety audit findings to raise awareness among management and contractor workers.
  • Able to deliver SSW orientation to contractor new hires in English
  • Create safety content regularly and present it to the contractors and management leadership team.
  • Perform detailed incident investigations, create a timeline, and submit to the CPC safety contact.
  • Conduct behavior-based audits and permit audits to record results on CPC Forms on the CPC tablet.
  • Cooperate with the CPC Safety Department in any department needs, including attending meetings, providing contractor training with revised PIs, and assessing work areas.
  • Ensuring all plant personnel adhere to policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Actively participate in the Contractor Safety Committee, provide guidance and lead committee safety walks.
  • Strong leadership skills and commitment to ensuring all projects, turnarounds, and outages are safely executed by CPC safety standards and Orange plant needs.
  • Able to respond and work overtime and night shift on short notice to the Orange plant needs.
  • Able to address contractor workers and employees to encourage and promote a safe work ICARE environment.
  • Self-motivated and directed to fulfill the field safety needs and requirement for the plant leadership team.
