  • Hyundai Motor Group North America Quality Center(NAQC) is the quality arm of Hyundai Motor Group(HMG) based in S. Korea and oversees all quality problems raised in North America. NAQC Investigation Team's primary objective is to identify a range of quality issues within the North American market and implement targeted corrective actions to minimize quality problems in the field. This ensures alignment with the increasing demands of sophisticated consumers, contributing to the company's overall success.     Hyundai Motor Group North America Quality Center (NAQC) is currently looking for a Sr. Electrical Engineer at Chino/Irvine, CA office who will:

    Be a part of investigation team to conduct various types of field investigations to collect duplication data and analyze the data to identify the root cause and share findings through technical investigation report. The candidate is expected to have knowledge of inner workings of automotive electronics and should have troubleshooting / root cause analysis skills to identify a problem and provide appropriate resolution recommendations. The individual will be required to collaborate with the various stakeholders (i.e. HMG Quality Team, HMG R&D, suppliers, North American affiliates) to plan / execute joint activities to achieve a common goal.
  • Engine Teardowns (~ 4 - 5 per day)
  • Perform maintenance & repair on vehicles
  • Identify problems with diagnostic equipment (Hyundai / KIA GDS is a plus)
  • Work with engineers and assist in vehicle tasks: parts swap, test evaluation, etc.
  • Publish reports on teardown results
  • Joint investigation with the Korean team
  • Maintain shop cleanliness
  • Perform warranty parts check-in & support the shipping of outgoing parts
  • Operate various equipment (alignment, tire balance, & chassis dyno)
  • Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free working environment.
  • Follow all state and federal regulations related to automotive repairs.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Order parts and maintain an accurate inventory of supplies.
  • Conduct post-repair testing to ensure vehicles are operating as expected.


Ensure all work meets or exceeds manufacturer and industry standards.




  • Completion of high school level and or GED
  • Graduated from an associate degree program in automotive repair
  • Minimum of 2 years as an Automotive Technician

    • Read; interpret/transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records
    • High level of professionalism with a commitment to customer satisfaction
    • Strong communication & interpersonal skills

      • ASE certification is a plus


      Forklift certificate is a plus, but not required (Forklift training may be provided).

  • Ability to bend at the waist, sitting, kneeling, laying horizontally, climbing and walking, etc., as the job may require
  • Ability to stand, walk, moderately to heaving lifting is required, max 51 pounds.
  • Ability to push a minimum of 100 pounds

    • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and conditions.
    • Emergency Response: Availability for urgent system issues that might require on-site presence at non-standard hours or locations, although this is generally infrequent.




Minimal Travel: The role generally requires minimal travel as most tasks are performed on-site. Travel may be required for training, conferences, or visits to remote workshop or offices.
