POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for supporting reliability activities in development, design, testing, analysis, product, and/or quality assurance that requires technical mechanical/electrical experience and knowledge. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the quality system in accordance with documented procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

The position is authorized to identify and report non-conformances in materials, components, products, processes, equipment, facilities, and other parts of the quality system; to initiate corrective action, where applicable; and to identify and initiate corrective action of non-conformances in documentation, design, equipment, facilities, and processes, and other activities covered by the quality system.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS

• Performs activities in the following areas, as assigned: reliability engineering, component and material qualification, corrective and preventive action, and product verification testing

• Supports the development of test methods, inspection techniques, statistical controls, and acceptance criteria

• Design, construct, qualify, and implement test fixturing and hardwired connections required to support LivaNova component and material qualification activities

• Reviews and verifies design documentation, analyses, and supports other product design-related activities

• Support complaint investigations and corrective actions associated with the quality management system and nonconforming material or products

• Supports electro-mechanical testing and electro-mechanical troubleshooting

• Designs and organizes the fabrication of specialized hardware, prototypes, or custom electronic components or systems to support product design-related activities

• Support the reliability engineers in maintenance of the lab equipment. Qualify new equipment as required

• Performs other duties as may be required by management

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: This position may require occasional business travel of 10% or more of the time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent required. AA in a technical field, or equivalent education, or equivalent military experience preferred

• Proficient in MS Office including Word and Excel

• Good written and verbal communication skills

Pay Transparency: A reasonable estimate of the hourly rate for this position is $30 - $45 per hour + discretionary annual bonus. Pay ranges may vary by location.
