18-Feb-2025 LSE IT Apprentice (Cyber Security Apprentice) Information Technology 9923BR Who We Are SRNS Enterprise Cyber Security is the primary organization at SRS responsible for implementing cybersecurity requirements for the Site and supports all aspects of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, interacting with both IT and OT systems. The areas involved include security authorization, auditing, policy creation, continuous monitoring, security baseline compliance, application testing, education outreach, and end-user training. Additional areas include detection and response, log collection and review, threat intelligence, security reviews, and forensic investigations. What You'll Do in This Position As an apprentice, you will be learning and performing a variety of cybersecurity related tasks tied to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cyber Security Framework (CSF): Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover, and Govern. You will be expected to develop proficiency and will be provided mentors in each of these areas to gain a clear understanding of the topic and related work. Security Clearance Information Ability to obtain a security clearance. Qualifications We Require High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential Qualifications We Desire Be within two years of completing a bachelor's degree in an IT-related field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security). Reside within a 50-mile radius of the site to enable onsite work during school terms and breaks. Consistently maintain an average of 20 work hours per week, with availability from Monday to Friday.
