Scope of Work: Oversees the E-6B IFT Program and acts as the primary point of contact to the customer for all AAR Support provided to operate two E-6B IFT aircraft. The Program Manager provides all management and administrative functions necessary for the safe, efficient, effective operation of the E-6B IFT. Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of personnel engaged in supporting critical military missions as part of the E-6B IFT program. This role has four principal tasks:
- Aircraft Maintenance: The E-6B IFT is a 737-800 aircraft. The ideal candidate should have some technical knowledge of aircraft maintenance so that they can speak knowledgeably with the operators and maintainers about the aircraft systems and functions. The more knowledge the candidate possesses about 737 NG aircraft and Boeing technical manuals, the more productive they will be.
- Support Equipment Maintenance: Additionally, the site will be performing Support Equipment maintenance and calibration required to support the aircraft. The Program manager must ensure that all Support equipment is properly maintained and recalled for PM calibration in a timely fashion.
- Supply Chain Management: The candidate will manage the supply chain for the E-6 IFT aircraft. The program manager will ensure that components are received and processed in accordance with government approved ground and flight procedures.
- Supervisor Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Program Manager will lead a team of up to 30 personnel providing support. Three specific areas involve warehouse/supply chain management, support equipment maintenance, and transition into service for the E-6B IFT aircraft.
- User activity is new to the E-6B IFT and it is critical that the Program Manager focus on keeping customer informed of project status and continuously look for opportunities to increase customer satisfaction while staying within budget.
- Recommend changes to team structure to make more effective use of assigned personnel.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS Degree from a four-year accredited college or university. This requirement may be waived for candidates who have significant experience in similar positions or that possess unique skills that add value to the program.
- Experience desired as a senior leader in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station or in a Part 121 Flight Line operation
- Knowledge of 737NG aircraft maintenance is preferred.
- Current FAA Airframe and Power plant (A&P) License is desired, however not required
- Experience in managing a government CLS (maintenance & supply) contract is a discriminating factor.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a commitment to company values, ethical standards, and continuous learning; proficient in managing teams, projects, and fostering a positive, customer-oriented environment.
- Advanced computer proficiency and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and analyze data to drive decision-making and optimize processes.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Must be able to maintain ability to access worksite location to include various military installations and airports to meet customer operational requirements.
- Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) in a timely manner.
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate a company vehicle.
- Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
- Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Maneuvers in, around, under, and about factory and/or laboratory equipment on a regular and continuous basis
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and comply with OSHA standards
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Travel required up to 25%
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility. The environmental characteristic for this position is an aircraft repair station. Candidates should be able to adapt to a traditional flight line/hangar environment.
- Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements of the customer to include weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to perform on-call duties when necessary and report to work within the required timeframe from notification.
