The Metra Police Department (MPD) Social Worker plays a vital role in supporting individuals who utilize Metra services or are present on Metra property. Our dedicated Social Workers provide both direct assistance and behind-the-scenes support to those in need, addressing a wide range of challenges within the six-county Metra region. They also collaborate closely with our municipal partners, working together to address shared concerns and enhance community well-being. The final salary will depend on the candidate's qualifications. Those with 8 years or more of required experience can expect offers up to the midpoint of the salary range. Their work ensures the safety of Metra's passengers and employees and reduces train delays.
