Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary:

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with the project manager to assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical controls projects. You will assist and support the Project Manager in all aspects of the project, such as take-off, sub-contracts, quotes, submittals, change orders and materials management. You will be responsible for much of the administrative work around a project and you will aid the Project Manager and project team with various day-to-day tasks. Additionally, you will maintain good communication with stakeholders, familiarize yourself with project specifications and scopes of work, and maintain and create necessary project documentation. You will, always, also assist in the coordination and delivery of materials, tools, drawings, and other items to project jobsites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring project progress and creating progress status reports for project managers and stakeholders
  • Assisting with resource scheduling so that team members have the resources they need to complete their tasks
  • Maintaining good communication with stakeholders and facilitating communication between the project manager and stakeholders throughout the project life cycle
  • Managing project management documents such as quotes, submittals, sub-contracts as directed by the project manager
  • Executing a variety of project management administrative tasks such as closing documents
  • Support team members when implementing new strategies
  • Overseeing day-to-day needs of technicians such as sourcing materials, tracking of tooling, and organizing of material inventory
  • Ensuring compliance with project scope, specifications books, and company policies
  • Assisting in preparation of cost estimates for project bids
  • Reviewing and processing purchase orders, invoices, and subcontractor agreements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Business Administration, management or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Previous experience in construction or industrial environments
  • Be willing to comply with our core values



Working Conditions:
