Security Coordinator

Job Summary

Responsible for safeguarding company assets, including personnel, by investigating known losses, proactive in preventing loss, and coordination with police on theft for prosecution.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Researches and analyzes potential theft cases to identify and collaborate with local authorities.
• Identifies high complexity theft and security issues using various methods.
• Investigate criminal acts, collect evidence, interview witnesses to ascertain clues, time frames and possible suspects.
• Reviews and monitors surveillance equipment as needed.
• Follows and or implements standard procedures to document a loss or prepare a case report.
• Communicates the status and resolution of incident to the legal department (Chief Counsel).
• Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
• Provide security for various personnel situations as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Related experience of 4- 7 years in criminal investigations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in criminal Justice or related field.
• Highly organized; superior time management skills.
• Exceptional communication skills both written and oral.
• Self-motivated; self-starter; able to multi-task.
• Good computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
• Occasionally lifts to 25 lbs.
• Occasionally push, pull or move 50 lbs.
• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
• Occasional overnight travel by personal vehicle or airplane; may works nights and weekends.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out in an office, lab, plant environment, vehicle, other locations, or outdoors.
