OD (Optometrist)

Gundersen Lutheran Administrative Services, Inc. seeks an OD (Optometrist) to work in the following locations in Wisconsin: La Crosse, Onalaska, Prairie du Chien, Black River Falls, Friendship, Hillsboro, Sparta, Tomah, Viroqua and Whitehall; as well as in Winona and Wabasha, Minnesota, and Decorah and Waukon, Iowa. Duties: Provide medical care in an optometry setting, including, without limitation, diagnosis and management of ocular disease and visual disorders, emergency eye services, pre and post-operative eye care, removal of corneal and conjunctival foreign bodies (embedded and superficial), fitting contact lenses, low vision services, management and treatment of ocular disease either primary or secondary form systemic disease, prescribing eyeglasses, prescribing of topical and oral pharmaceutical agents in the treatment of ocular disease, and other similar procedures. Will have various medical students, residents, and fellows rotating along on occasion to observe and learn patient care for the purposes of medical education. Requires: a Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree or foreign equivalent and must have or be eligible for a license to practice optometry in the states of Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota.
