Our team in Aircraft Group is looking for aLogistics Technician to join them. You will report to the Inventory Control & Shipping Supervisor and will have an onsite work schedule in Torrance, CA.

To be considered for theLogistics Technician role,here's what you'll need to bring with you:

• High School Diploma, GED or formal training equivalency, plus 2 years as an Associate Logistics Technician or 4 years of Material Handling/Logistics experience OR

• Two-year degree plus 2 years of Material Handling / Logistics experience OR

• Four-year degree

• Proficient using MS Office. Computer program skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook)

As aLogistics Technician, you will:

• Maintain and utilize various logistics programs, as well as basic communication software including email and messaging.

• Ensure proper labeling and packaging to comply with contractual requirements, appropriate documentation completion before and after shipments.

• Communicate and interact with personnel from all departments.

• Per written and/or verbal instructions; includes coordination and scheduling delivery with trucking companies.

• Package and prepare products for shipment. Receive products and materials from vendors, customers, and subsidiaries.

• Operate fork trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and other material handling equipment.

• Safely operate packaging tools and machinery such as a bag sealer, nail gun, table saw, and radial arm saw.

• Drive company vehicle to suppliers for drop off/pickup of hardware at vendor or offsite location for processing.

• Maintain traceability of materials, including verifying that material matches vendor documentation and marking materials with trace numbers.

• Assist in other areas such as painting hardware, industrial actuator assembly and test procedures, and stocking or picking parts in the stockroom.

• Timely and efficient movement of work in process and error-free entry of all related transactions.

• Meet monthly shipping targets.

• Provide administrative and technical support as needed.

• This role may require that the Logistics Technician be on your feet constantly and be able to lift materials and containers up to 35 pounds regularly. For materials of greater weight, you will have access to numerous lifting devices to assist, with some of these devices requiring company provided training.

The purpose of the requisition is to convert Moog contractor to full time, we welcome other applicants.
