Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a F-16 Flight Test Analyst in Tucson, AZ. This individual will be responsible for planning, provisioning, conducting, and reporting fast-paced, streamlined flight test operations in support of the Air National Guard Air Force Reserve Command Test Center (AATC) in Tucson, AZ, specifically for the 416th Flight Test Squadron's Operating Location A (OL-A).EW-CTF; however, all Guard and Reserve electronic warfare programs will be supported as determined by NGB and AATC.

Responsibilities

As a F-16 Flight Test Analyst with MTSI, you will be responsible for planning, provisioning, conducting, and reporting fast-paced, streamlined flight test operations in support of the Air National Guard Air Force Reserve Command Test Center (AATC) in Tucson, AZ, specifically for the 416th Flight Test Squadron's Operating Location A (OL-A).

Tasks and responsibilities may include but not be limited to:

  • Perform developmental and operational testing, data analysis, and reporting for the latest F-16 operational flight programs and associated systems and weapons.

  • Assist the OL-A Director in identifying and categorizing OFP improvement, Modernize and increase lethality for the F-16, participate in design reviews with the F-16 System Program Office (SPO) and AATC pilots/engineers, plan for flight testing, draft test plans/reports, draft test information sheets, conduct pre-mission briefs and post-mission reviews with project pilots, archive and analyze test mission data, and assist with engineering changes as required.
  • Collaborate with the 416 FLTS OL-A Director, SPO personnel, industry vendors, and flight test engineers in the development of flight scenarios to efficiently and effectively collect data to determine system performance of commercial off-the-shelf systems and operational flight program improvements of F-16 systems.
  • Responsible for conceptual and technical implementation and analysis of required software and hardware architecture changes while maintaining flight test data sets and merging them with qualitative data gathered during the test process.
  • Responsible for post flight data review and collaboration with 309th Software Engineering Group / system vendors as required.
  • Provide expertise in the following areas: developmental test planning & execution; basic aircraft/system data bus architectures to include PPD and mil-standard 1553 & Ethernet; and data analysis tools.
  • Directly support AATC in the development of advanced combat systems from cradle to grave in an independent, high-energy environment and will operate in multidisciplinary teams of industry, government and military personnel consisting of engineers, analysts, scientists, pilots and other aircrew.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in operational and/or developmental system analysis, test and evaluation, and a strong desire to learn new systems / propose new ideas for F-16 systems, software, and design.
  • Experience with aircraft systems/software test and development, to include software candidate proposal/selection, test plan writing, test provisioning/scheduling, test execution, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience with common design and data analysis tools such as MATLAB.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communications skills, and the ability to work in a team environment while demonstrating excellent leadership and customer interaction.
  • Possess good analytic skills and be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Possess a can-do attitude and be self-starting, ambitious, and hard-working.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong background in one or more of the following:
    • data analysis tools;
    • aircraft data bus architecture design/use;
    • aircraft avionics systems;
    • weapon system performance analysis;
    • live aircraft weapon fires;
    • radar systems, and sensor testing.
    • Previous experience as an aircrew member in military aircraft is highly beneficial.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline is required, preferably in aeronautical engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science.
  • Master's degree in a technical discipline, Desired.

Travel:

  • Travel expected approximately every other month with periodic two-week trips to support AATC aircraft deployments. Up to 20% travel, depending on program workload and work location.

Security Clearance:

  • Active SECRET security clearance required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a TOP SECRET security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

Candidate must have a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
