TITLE Regional Admissions Counselor DEPARTMENT Undergraduate Admissions & Recruitment JOB SUMMARY A Regional Admissions Counselor at Texas Woman's University is responsible for attracting and engaging prospective students within an assigned region. This position will live in the designated region and contribute to the enrollment objectives of the University. Other recruitment areas or event attendance may be assigned at the Director's discretion to meet enrollment goals. This individual will serve as the primary contact for local high school counselors and community college counselors and coordinate student recruiting efforts with local TWU alumni chapters, various organizations, and other regional partners. A Regional Admissions Counselor represents Texas Woman's University accurately and effectively to all its various constituents, while also facilitating the implementation of policies, practices and programs, in an effort to achieve enrollment goals. Travel to the Denton campus and occasionally other areas of Texas may be required for events, supervisory meetings, staff training, college fairs, and other special circumstances when additional support is needed. Work is performed in a remote environment under limited supervision, and performance is based on the completion of assignments and the results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Reports to: Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions & Recruitment, Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions & Recruitment Supervises: No supervisory duties. EDUCATION Bachelor's degree required. EXPERIENCE A minimum of two years experience in admissions, preferably in the area of recruitment, application processing, or student services. Three years plus experience in university admissions is preferred. REQUIREMENTS Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position. All employees share the responsibility of maintaining information security and privacy requirements within the university by adhering to Federal and State regulations, and TWU Policies & Procedures. Must reside in the assigned TX region or be willing to relocate. A good driving record is required, as this candidate travels to and recruit's students from Texas high schools and community colleges. A valid Texas driver's license and a safe driving record are both required by the University for a Driver's Authorization to rent vehicles. The normal work hours for this position are Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or as business needs indicate. A flexible work schedule beyond normal working hours is needed at certain times throughout the year when working in the evening and occasional weekend events.
