Overview:

Veeco Instruments is seeking an experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager for their Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) product line to lead the development and promotion of advanced semiconductor processing equipment used in the research, development, and manufacture of cutting-edge components. The successful candidate will have a deep interest, extensive knowledge, and a robust background in MBE. They should have a thorough theoretical understanding of fundamentals and be able to clearly explain these to non-experts in the field. Familiarity with modes of operation on relevant instrumentation is essential. A strong background in semiconductor-related techniques is a significant advantage. Extensive practical experience with equipment is mandatory.

This role is a highly integrated, visible, cross-functional "driver" that has a substantial, measurable impact on the success of the MBE product line. The successful candidate should possess exceptional analytical and creative thinking skills to interpret customer requirements, configure products, and clearly articulate product differentiation and value.

Responsibilities:



  • Collaborates with a matrix team to thoroughly understand customer requirements in order to design and configure products that best meet customer needs.
  • Leads product line-related sales activities, including configuration development, custom product/feature requests, product quotes, cost, and pricing recommendations.
  • Develops and delivers comprehensive product quotes, marketing collateral, and tender responses that clearly articulate product differentiation and value.
  • Engages with customers through direct communication, both in-person (as able) and virtual, to drive business opportunities.
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with customers, sales, and service teams to promote the MBE product line.
  • Develops regional strategies to promote the product line and drive sales growth.
  • Meets or exceeds booking and margin targets for assigned regions.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Material Science, Physics, Nanotechnology, or related disciplines with over 8years of relevant industrial work experience.Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) with over 6+ years of relevant industrial experience will also be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Proven ability to multi-task and work effectively with a cross-functional team in a matrix organization; demonstrated ability to lead and motivate individuals without direct reporting authority.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills and decision-making capabilities.
  • In-depth understanding of key engineering and technology areas, including mechanical, electrical, systems, and software; vacuum experience preferred.
  • Exceptional critical and creative thinking skills to interpret customer requirements, configure products, and articulate product differentiation and value.
  • Proficient with the MS Office suite.
  • Extensive experience with semiconductor capital equipment, metrology, instrumentation, or related electromechanical systems, especially thin-film deposition (ALD, MBE, MOCVD).
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% as required.


The expected salary range for this position is $117,669 - $151,897, plus bonus opportunity. When determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
