Operations Lead Technician

Clean and climate controlled environment, cutting edge carbon fiber technology facility. Aerospace Manufacturing.

This position is Friday - Sunday, 12 hour shifts from 6am to 6pm. Shift differential of $2/hour attached!

Job Purpose

The Operations Lead Technician supports all aspects regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Team (SQDCT) of the assigned work cell. They resolve technicians' immediate concerns, act as an intermediate liaison to the Production Team Lead and ensure efficient parts flow thru cell.

Job Responsibilities

• Put Safety first at all times, never compromise on safety for the obtainment of other objectives. Responsible for health and safety of themselves and coworkers.

• Ensures operational SIRM goals are met, if not met, develop a plan to make up back log / miss.

• Working Operational Lead (90%) with some time delegated to administrative duties (10%).

• Track daily / weekly production, give updates and make adjustments in cell accordingly

• Ensure the flow of subcomponents through the cell " bottle necks"

• Provide work direction to workers assigned to the work cell, coordinate vacation and lunch/break coverage, obtain overtime coverage as approved, time approvals.

• Coordinate and provide training of Technicians.

• Housekeeping and organization (5S) of the work cell

• Raw materials & general supplies needed are present at each work station and surplus materials are properly stored.

• Ensure proper completion of production and traceability documentation is present at all work stations

• Set-up and operate key equipment in work cell.

• SAP transactions including but not limited to; Migo, Co11N, MMBE, MD04

• Lead/Support meetings as needed Start-up Meeting (Tier 1)

• Support/Train technicians as needed

• Call in support teams when needed

Qualifications/Characteristics

• Strong Communication skills

• Working knowledge of SAP+

• Strong working knowledge of processes in the area

• Knowledge of where to access resolution to problems requiring support groups(Quality, Engineering, IT, etc.)

Working Conditions

Indoor production environment, adequate lighting and comfortable temperatures. Occasional exposure to moderate noise and machinery with mechanical moving parts. Ability to work schedule modifications and be available as business situations required, overtime dependent on business need.
