* Performs complex oilfield automation tasks under general supervision, specializing in troubleshooting to optimize sophisticated oilfield automation and communication systems.
* Collaborates with field personnel, the automation department, and engineering staff to implement and maintain advanced automation equipment in the field.
* Determines comprehensive requirements, specifications, and provides expert recommendations for cutting-edge communication and automation equipment.
* Configures Programmable Logic Controllers and Remote Terminal Units, ensuring advanced functionality and adherence to industry-leading standards.
* Develops detailed scopes of work to assess intricate automation and communication projects for internal company evaluation and external bidding processes.
* Oversees automation and communication contractors, ensuring meticulous compliance with company standards and project requirements.
* Troubleshoots well site automation and communication equipment with a high level of expertise, addressing complex technical challenges effectively.
* Provides substantial support in the installation and maintenance of advanced automation equipment, contributing to the seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies in the oilfield environment.
* Assists with the orientation and training of lower-level employees, sharing knowledge and expertise to support their professional development.
* Maintains a field-wide contact role, serving as a point of communication for all personnel during emergencies or significant occurrences, ensuring effective response and coordination.

Education:
* High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED) is required.

Experience:
* 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably in E&P Operations specializing in areas such as Oilfield Automation, Instrumentation, Production Operations, Process Control Device Integration or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.

Certifications:
* ISA Certified Automation Professional (CAP) (preferred)
* Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) (preferred)
